

PSYCHOLOGIST
Lisa Berger, Ph.D., C.Psych.

Lisa is a Registered Psychologist in the Province of Ontario. She has a doctorate in psychology from the University of Toronto (2003) and is a member of The College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario. She has been in private practice since 2001 and has had a longstanding interest in working to help people mend their lives and enable them to live more fully in the present.
Lisa has a special interest in the ways in which we have learned to cope with painful personal experiences and the process by which we move towards healthier functioning. In her doctoral research she focused on self-harm and the experience of women who engage in this coping behaviour.

Parisa Akhlaghi, M.Psy., C.Psych.Assoc. (Supervised Practice)

Parisa has a Master of Psychology in Clinical and Counselling Psychology from the Adler Graduate Professional School. She is a member of The College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario, in Supervised Practice, working under the direct supervision of Dr. Lisa Berger as she completes the final step toward autonomous practice.
Parisa’s clients include a diverse group of individuals experiencing a range of lifestyle and mental health challenges. Her individualistic approach to therapy allows her to facilitate a safe and supportive environment for her clients, where they can explore their needs and potential. Her approach to counselling emphasizes the connection between body and mind.

ASSOCIATE - PSYCHOLOGIST
Rebecca West, Ph.D., C.Psych. (Supervised Practice)

Dr. Rebecca West has a doctoral degree in Counselling and Clinical Psychology from the University of Toronto. She is a member of The College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario, in Supervised Practice, working under the direct supervision of Dr. Lisa Berger as she completes the final step toward autonomous practice.
Rebecca employs an eclectic approach to help people explore and gain insight into their life challenges, and bring awareness to one’s thoughts, feelings and behaviours. In her doctoral research, she is focused on the experience of women who report sexual violence and its impact on their educational experience.

ASSOCIATE
Connor Laforge, M.Psy.

Connor has a Master of Psychology in Clinical and Counselling Psychology from the Adler Graduate Professional School. He is applying for the Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology program at Adler Graduate Professional School and will be registering with The College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario.
Connor uses an eclectic and compassionate approach to help people become more self-aware, self-accepting, self-expressive, and to gain self-respect. Connor works effectively with multiple different populations and ages and offers both individual and relationship therapy. Connor's graduate research focused on effective psychotherapeutic practices to help people connect with their true selves.
